Emeril Lagasse is an American celebrity chef, restaurateur, and television personality. After attending Johnson & Wales University to learn his craft, he graduated from the culinary school in 1978 and became Executive Chef at the Dunfey’s Hyannis Resort in 1979. He was named chef of the Year in 1983.
He then went on to work as an Executive chef in Commander’s Palace, New Orleans for seven and half years, and then struck out on his own, opening his first restaurant: Emeril’s.
To date, Emeril has won several industry awards, made countless tv appearances, and written several cookbooks.
