Jermyn Creppy, better known as Icekiid, (born November 7, 1996) is a gold and platinum-selling musician and co-owner of the Danish independent label Cannibal Records. Icekiid’s music is hip-hop / afrobeats, RnB and dancehall-inspired.
He was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, on November 7, 1996 and has Ghanaian roots. He grew up in the residential building “Østervang” in Hillerød.
In 2016, Icekiid released his debut EP ‘Afro Dansker. The album included the track ‘Blondes and Brunettes’, which has streamed more than 10 million on Spotify, as well as the song ‘Africans’ for which the music video was filmed in Ghana. Soundvenue gave the album three out of six stars and pointed out that Icekiid’s debut EP should probably make people dance, but one misses some wildness in the tropical dancehall as well as in the lyrics.
