Jørgen Mads Clausen net worth $3.9 billion

Jørgen Mads Clausen (born 23 September 1948 in Elsmark on Nordals) is a Danish businessman, entrepreneur and former CEO of the Danfoss Group. He is the son of Danfoss’ founder, manufacturer Mads Clausen.

Clausen graduated as an academic engineer from the Danish Academy of Engineering in 1972 and received an MBA from the University of Wisconsin in 1975. In 1978, he and his wife, Anette, started a small IT company in Copenhagen. However, after a few years, the company had to close with a personal loss. In 1981 he became head of technical coordination and research at Danfoss, in 1990 a member of the group management and from 1991 director of the mobile hydraulics division, before in 1996 he became CEO of the group.

In 2008 – after 12 years in the post of CEO, he resigned to become Chairman of the Board of the Group. In 2008, the group had sales of DKK 22 billion. kroner and employed 22,000 employees in 70 factories in 25 countries.

Jørgen Mads Clausen holds positions of trust in e.g. Research Center Risø, Danske Bank and SAS. In addition, he is a member of the board of the bourgeois, liberal think tank CEPOS, is chairman of the High Technology Foundation and has under the auspices of Danish Industry been responsible for building entrepreneurial networks and is chairman of the Danish branch of the organization Young Enterprise, which encourages young people to test their skills. He has also been a member of the Globalization Council and is also a member of VL group 1.

Jørgen Mads Clausen is the founder of Universe (formerly Danfoss Universe), which is an adventure park where fun is a science.
