Citybois is a Danish pop duo consisting of Anthon Edwards Knudtzon and Thor Blanchez Farlov. The group became known through their participation in X Factor 2015, where they achieved a fifth place. Thomas Blachman was their mentor.
The duo has been on hiatus indefinitely since 2020, and the members have devoted themselves to their own projects.
Citybois opened the X Factor final show on March 27, 2015 in Boxen in Herning. Here they performed with their first single “Things We Do”. The song is written and produced by the Danish pop group Scarlet Pleasure. “Things We Do” debuted at number four on the charts, beating the winner of X Factor Emilie Esther, whose single “Undiscovered” became No. 10 on the list. The single received gold in July 2015.
On June 14, 2015, Citybois’ second single, “Purple Light”, was released, produced by Providers, which i.a. stands behind Medina. Together with Rasmus Bjerg, they have made the Christmas song “En Rigtig Drengejul”, which was used for the Zulu Comedy Galla 2015. On November 15, 2015, Citybois released their single “Ridin”.
On June 22, 2016, Citybois’ first single in Danish, “Bedre end Rihanna” was released. All subsequent singles have been published in Danish. The latest single is called “Finding back” where Svea Kågemark sings a verse in Swedish.
The duo then released the single “Pool” with artist TopGunn.
